Allied Announces 2009 Quality Agents of the Year
It is with great pleasure we announce the recipients of the Allied Van Lines Quality Agent of the Year award. These prestigious awards will be presented at the 2010 Operations Conference Awards dinner on May 14, 2010, at the beautiful Marriott River Cree Resort hotel in Edmonton, Alberta.
The definition of “Customer Service” is a series of activities designed to enhance the level of customer satisfaction – that is, the feeling that a product or service has met the customer expectation. This year, we have seen a remarkable improvement in our overall network rating quality score. By the number of agents that will be receiving the honor of Quality Agent of the Year status and the quality scores our top van foremen have achieved, we can definitely claim that Allied Van Lines understands and delivers customer service.
On behalf of Allied Van Lines, our agents and most importantly our customers, we thank you for your dedication and professionalism.

- Social Responsibility Update
Jan 15, 2010
The Social Responsibility committee is looking forward to implementing Green Week from Jan 18-22 this month. Green week is going to focus on ways you can be sustainable at work and at home, prepare for some fun facts and activities!
In our first meeting of the year, the Social Responsibility group talked about our first year in 2009 and what we would like for 2010. We discussed having all full time employees think of where they would like to volunteer. We would like employees to look in to their communities and really take
ownership for this time. We really look forward to 2010 and want to encourage and support all employees on getting involved in the community. Any feedback, suggestions or questions are always welcome!

- QMM and Allied are working together for a greener tomorrow!
Dec 04, 2009
Allied Van Lines is excited to announce
our association with Tree Canada, the
country’s largest tree planting
organization.
Tree Canada has planted over 76 million
trees since 1992 and plays a major role
in maintaining tree programs and
educating the public about
environmental stewardship.
Recognizing the impact of carbon
emissions on the environment, Allied
Van Lines has committed to planting
15,000 trees over the next three years.
These trees will aid in offsetting carbon
emissions produced as a result of our
industry.
These trees will be planted throughout
Canada and will provide a living legacy
for our environment and Canadians to
enjoy for years to come.
Tree facts:
· Over 80 years, an average Canadian
tree will absorb 200 kg of carbon
dioxide.
· Every day one large tree provides
enough oxygen for four people.
· Trees reduce water runoff and
prevent pollutants entering into our
waterways.
· Trees cool cities by lowering heat
islands in the summertime.
· Native wildlife call trees their home.
· Trees lift our spirits by providing a
psychological boost.
· Each healthy tree can reduce
airborne dust particles by as much as
7,000 particles per litre of air, thus a
healthy tree is a free standing air
conditioner and purifier.
With over 75 years of experience, Allied Van Lines is one of the world’s largest
and most trusted moving companies. Allied has operations, franchises and
agents in over 175 countries.
