Our Sales Team
Roy Phelps, Vice President of Sales
Roy joined QMM as Vice President of Sales in December 2004 and the Executive Leadership Team in 2006. Previously Roy worked for Canada's second largest telecommunications company, where, as Director of Applications & Professional Services, he was responsible for delivering integrated business solutions.
Roy is an active Canadian Employee Relocation Council (CERC) member and currently sits on the CERC Committee for the Western Region. Roy was instrumental in putting together QMM's partnership with the Calgary Flames. Before his business career Roy played semi-professional rugby in England. Roy holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Lethbridge.
Francis Leal, Consumer Sales Manager
After ten years with QMM, Francis' experience is extensive; from coordination to claims management, and presently consumer sales. With a proven track record in customer service from his previous hotel industry tenure, Francis brings an unusually broad base of experience to each relocation he handles. Francis has a diploma in Business and Administration from the Polytechnic School of Commerce and Industry of Setubal.
Francis is an avid volleyball player and photography buff; spending hours on either pursuit until he reaches perfection
Patricio Contreras, Business Development Manager
Patricio has been with QMM's Calgary office since its inception in 2004. As Business Development Manager he is responsible for office and industrial as well as consumer sales. Prior to joining QMM, Patricio had responsibilities developing and managing corporate relations, including management of plant operations at a Fortune 500 organization. Patricio obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts - Sociology from the University of Calgary.
Patricio enjoys golf in the summer and curling in the winter.
Michael Gordon, Business Development Manager
Michael began with QMM in 2004 as a student, working on the crew during the summer while attending the University of British Columbia. In September 2008, after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing, Michael joined the sales and marketing team at QMM Vancouver as a Business Development Manager. In his current role, Michael is responsible for the sales and coordination of office moves, consumer moves and government moves. Michael also manages many QMM marketing efforts including the website and other media.
Michael enjoys playing on various sports teams (hockey, football, and volleyball) and is an animal lover who volunteers as one of the Saturday Dog-Walk Coordinators at the Surrey SPCA.
Gail Symes, Business Development Manager
Gail joined our new Edmonton office at its inception in April 2010. As Business Development Manager she is responsible for all consumer sales within Edmonton and surrounding areas. Prior to QMM, Gail was sales manager for another Allied agency where her responsibilities included all consumer sales, government moves and customer service. Gail originally acquired a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from the University of Alberta and the moving industry has become a very successful and enjoyable career shift for her.
Gail enjoys singing, watching hockey, taking walks with her husband and their 2 dogs, and playing with her new granddaughter.
