Corporate Social Responsiblity

We believe that corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a key part of being an effective and ethical business.

At QMM, we seek ways to support our community and protect our environment. We strive hard to make a positive impact on our customers, our community and our planet.

We seek to use our strengths to support our community

• We  support employee involvement in the community with 8 paid hours of volunteer work each year
• We lead by example in charitable giving and look for creative ways to encourage employee participation in charitable organizations
• We sponsor literacy programs at inner-city schools in Vancouver & Calgary

We are committed to giving back to the communities in which we operate. With our various ongoing initiatives and through the support of our staff fundraising efforts, last year we raised $45,000 that benefitted our communities, and regional and national groups.
We work closely with the following charitable organizations: Move For Hunger, Union Gospel Mission, Ronald McDonald House and the BC Children’s Hospital.

• We offer to recycle the unwanted household goods of our transferees
• We seek to provide electronic documentation rather than paper  whenever possible
• We are committed to ethical business practices

• We solicit employee feedback regularly by means of an annual employee satisfaction survey and quarterly through suggestion blitzes and monthly meetings

We work to minimize the impact of our operations, products and services on the environment

• We support the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle with a company-wide recycling program in place
• Our annual “Green Week” highlights sustainability trends and employee environmental stewardship
